Questions, answered plainly.

What itclicks is

It's for anyone facing words that aren't clicking.

ITCLICKS explains important words that are not clicking in plain English, one point at a time. It is for anyone facing such words.

ITCLICKS explains what words mean. It is not limited to any diagnosis, profession, or reading level, and it is not a person.

You can bring a question, a worry, or a document.

A person can type a question or a worry, paste text, or add a text file, a PDF, or a photo of text. A document is optional. For example: a medical result or bill, a lease or contract, a loan or tax letter, a benefits letter, an offer letter, or a warranty.

Only what is submitted in the app can be seen. Comparing several documents at once is not an established capability.

Photos and PDFs are read on your own device.

A photo or PDF is turned into text on the person's own device. Only the text is sent to produce an answer.

Scanned PDF pages are read the same way, but only the first 12 pages of a scan. A photo that cannot be read cannot be explained.

Photos and scans are read as English only.

Photos and scanned pages are read as English text only.

A photo or scan of a document in another language may come out garbled or empty. A PDF or text file that already contains text in another language is read normally.

There are limits on how much you can add.

One message can be up to 4,000 characters. One document can be up to about 20,000 words. If something is longer, the person is asked to add just the part they need.

The person sees these limits only when they go over one.

You can write in your own language.

A person can write in their own language, and ITCLICKS will try to answer in it.

How reliable this is across languages has not been established.

You can speak your question instead of typing it.

In browsers that support it, a person can speak the question instead of typing it.

The person's browser turns speech into text, and the browser maker's own terms apply to that audio. Only the resulting text is sent to ITCLICKS.

How it works

You get one point at a time.

ITCLICKS gives one point at a time. "This clicks, next point" moves on. The person sets the pace.

ITCLICKS does not give one long merged answer. That is by design.

You can ask about the point on screen at no extra cost.

"Not clicking? Ask a question" lets the person ask about the point on screen at no extra cost.

The question must be about that point. An unrelated question isn't accepted there. The person rephrases it, or asks it as a new question, which uses one answer.

Every point shows the exact words it came from.

Each point comes with the exact words it came from, so the person can check it themselves. When ITCLICKS cannot find a source to back a point, it says so instead of guessing.

A few short answers, such as the plain meaning of an everyday word, come from general knowledge. They are labeled "From general knowledge, not checked against a source."

It is not one smooth, confident answer.

Many tools give one smooth, confident answer. ITCLICKS gives one point at a time and shows the exact words each point came from.

What it will not do, and its limits

It explains what words mean. It does not advise.

ITCLICKS explains what words mean. It does not give legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice. It does not diagnose, take sides, or decide for the person. It does not take actions for them, such as contacting providers, submitting forms, or changing accounts.

It can explain what a published rule, definition, or reference range says, and what questions to ask the right professional.

It is not an emergency service.

If a message suggests someone may be in immediate danger or thinking of self-harm, ITCLICKS keeps its reply short and adds fixed emergency guidance. It says to call the local emergency number (911 in the United States), or to call or text 988 (United States) or a local crisis line.

ITCLICKS is not an emergency service. The fixed numbers are for the United States, with a general instruction for elsewhere.

It can be wrong.

The explanations are AI-generated, not a live chat with a person. ITCLICKS checks its work before showing an answer, but it can still be wrong. It does not guarantee accuracy or completeness.

Consequential details and deadlines must be checked against the original material and, where it matters, an appropriate professional.

Price, credits and accounts

Your first answer is free.

Every verified account gets one free answer. It's a real, checked answer, not a teaser.

It is one per person. If that answer could not be delivered, it is given back.

You pay per answer, with no subscription.

After the free answer, each answer uses one credit from a package: 20 answers for $7.99, 60 for $19.99, or 100 for $29.99. There is no subscription.

The cost is shown before anything is charged.

About tax.

Applicable taxes will apply.

A credit is used only when a checked answer is delivered.

A credit is used only when a real, checked answer is delivered. Moving to the next point is free. A new question uses one answer.

If an answer fails on ITCLICKS's side, the credit is restored.

You can always see how many answers you have left.

The app shows how many answers a person has left, for example "1 free answer available" or "12 answers left", with a reminder that a new question uses one.

Moving to the next point does not use one.

When you need more, you choose a package and pay by card.

When the free answer is used or credits run out, the app shows the three packages with the price of each. A person picks one and pays by card.

Card details are handled by the payment processor; ITCLICKS never sees the card number. The cost is shown before anything is charged.

Credits last two years.

Credits are good for two years from purchase.

If something went wrong on our side, you get a restored credit or a refund.

If something went wrong on ITCLICKS's side, the credit is restored or the person is refunded, at their choice. If a person believes an explanation was wrong, they can tell ITCLICKS, which leans toward the refund.

The published Terms say nothing about a partly used package.

You can get a refund for answers you have not used.

If a person has used some of a package and wants a refund, ITCLICKS refunds the unused answers.

Answers already used are not refunded. To ask, write to hello@itclicks.app.

You sign in with an email and a six-digit code.

A verified email account is required. Sign-in is one email and a six-digit code, with no password.

The email is used to verify the person, to give the one free answer per person, and to sign back in to use purchased credits. It is not used for newsletters and is never sold.

Your credits follow your account, not your device.

Credits belong to the account. Signing in on another device shows the same balance.

A conversation kept on one device stays on that device.

You can sign out and back in at any time.

A person can sign out at any time and sign back in later with a new six-digit code sent to their email.

Credits stay on the account.

There are three rules for using the service.

Bring material you have the right to share. One person per account. Do not probe, script, or overload the service.

Your privacy

Your material is removed when you finish, stop, or leave.

What a person brings is held in the app's active session memory while they work, and removed when they finish, stop, or leave. It is not written to disk, not logged, and not stored with the account. The "Stop, forget this now" button removes it immediately.

This is a promise about the app only. It is not a promise about the outside services that help produce an answer.

An outside AI service helps produce each answer.

Each answer is produced with an outside AI service, and what a person types or adds is sent to it. That provider may keep the data for a limited time under its own terms, up to 30 days in its standard policy, and longer if its safety systems flag it or the law requires. ITCLICKS has not contracted for zero retention. When ITCLICKS looks something up on the web, the search terms and page requests go to that provider's web tools and the websites involved.

ITCLICKS does not promise universal deletion, zero retention, complete confidentiality, or freedom from security risk. Before adding anything, remove what the explanation does not need: passwords, account numbers, government ID numbers, and detailed medical or financial identifiers.

Keeping a conversation is your choice, and it stays on your device.

By default a conversation exists only in the person's browser tab, and is gone when they close it or press Stop. A person can choose to keep a conversation on their own device. A kept conversation is encrypted with a key that stays in that browser and never reaches ITCLICKS servers. It can be exported or deleted at any time.

Clearing the browser's site data also removes a kept conversation. ITCLICKS never turns Keep mode on for a person.

The site counts visits, not people.

The site keeps anonymous daily totals of page visits, link clicks, and thumbs up or down taps. They contain no IP address and no account, device, or session identifier, and nothing about what was asked or answered. There are no ad trackers. Sign-in and payment providers set only the cookies they need.

The company that hosts the site keeps its own routine server records. Page opens and link clicks are not counted if the browser sends 'Do Not Track' or Global Privacy Control.

You can ask us to delete your account.

A person can ask ITCLICKS to delete their account and email address by writing to hello@itclicks.app.

ITCLICKS keeps a record of each past purchase (amount, date, status, and the payment processor's reference) without the person's email. The payment processor keeps its own payment records under its own terms.

Getting help

Write to us, in plain English.

Questions and problems go to hello@itclicks.app, or through the Contact form in the app. Replies are in plain English.

Anything sent through the Contact form is stored as written, so it can be read and answered. The Contact form is not an emergency route.
